Coastal 5k Run for the Beach and Kids Run

Runners, walkers and kids are invited to particitpate in the Coastal 5k

Calling all runners and walkers--and their children--who love our North Shore beaches. Sign up for the 3rd Annual Coastal 5K Run for the Beach! This year a new event has been added. After the conclusion of the 5K run, there will be a special race for kids--the Kids ½ mi Coastal Hill Challenge.

Proceeds from both runs benefit the Salem Sound Coastwatch Adopt a Beach program. Salem Sound Coastwatch is a local nonprofit environmental organization working to keep our beaches and coastal waters safe and healthy. Salem Sound Coastwatch has volunteers who have over 40 beaches in Beverly, Danvers, Magnolia, Manchester-by- the-Sea, Marblehead, Nahant, Salem, and Swampscott.
The 5K course, which starts and finishes at Lynch Park, is on gentle, rolling terrain with beautiful ocean views of Salem Sound. The kids hill challenge is inside the park.
Everyone is welcome. There will be free admission to the park, raffles, a marine touch tank with critters from the sea to look at and touch, free samples, massage and more.
Register early to get a free event tee shirt for the 5K! Entry fees for the 5K are $20 prior to September 3, $25 thereafter. Registration for the kids race is $10 per child.
