Bowl Painting at Essex Shipbuilding Museum

 Proceeds from the Open Door Empty Bowl dinner benefit community programs.

The Open Door invites you to bowl painting session at the Essex Shipbuilding Museum! Bring the kids to come paint bowls for the annual The Open Door Empty Bowl Dinner 2015 in May where painted bowls will be auctioned off to the highest bidder! This free session is an opportunity to express yourself artistically while helping The Open Door raise funds to aid North Shore families and individuals in need. Kids under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Please RSVP by March 25.

Fun with Sticks and String: Learn Basic Knitting

Kids will learn basic knitting at ATHM

The American Textile History Museum in Lowell invites kids to learn how to knit! All of knitting, no matter how complicated, is made up of only knit stitches and purl stitches.  In this class, you will learn some basic information about knitting tools and yarn, then cast on and begin to knit a basic potholder or a headband.

Peabody Essex Museum invites kids to design, construct and explore at the intersection of art and architecture at this studio discoveries session. Learning By Design provides design education to kids and adults at BSA SPACE, home to the Boston Society of Architects and the BSA Foundation.

Family Fun Day - Women Artists of Cape Ann

The second Saturday of every month is free for families with school-aged children. Families are invited to the Activity Center to participate in art, history, and cultural activities, and explore the museum using a Seek and Find. Each month has a different theme, from exhibitions to special celebrations. The theme for March 2015 is women artists of Cape Ann.

APL invites teens to a steampunk adventure! The Baroness is on the loose and it’s your job to catch her! It will take some clever minds & nimble hands to track her down and deliver her to the proper authorities. Family LEGO Build at APL

The Amesbury Public Library invites families to build LEGO creations!

APL invites families to come and create with LEGOs! Come on up to the Children's Room and build anything you can imagine! We'll provide the Lego, you provide the builders! Everyone is welcome (we have some Duplo for youngers)! We'll have some challange suggestions each month, if you'd like! No registration required and drop in anytime between 2pm - 4pm. We will display any creations made in our fiction section!
