Arts and Crafts for Little Ones with Colleen Apostolos-Marsh

Kids attend an art class in Gloucester Ma designed just for the young artist!

Certified Montessori teacher, artist and local mother, Colleen Apostolos-Marsh will guide your young artist in an exploration of color, shape, and texture. Using a variety of media, your child will be free to express their in a beautiful space while socializing and engaging in cooperative play.

Morning at the Museum

Drop off your 6-12 year old at Cape Ann Museum to learn about art and history

Morning at the Museum is a drop off program for children ages 6 to 12. Visit the Museum for art and history activities from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on select Tuesdays and Fridays throughout the summer. This program is $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members. Space is limited. Reservations are required.

Maritime Community Day

On Maritime Community Day, admission is free at Maritime Gloucester!

Maritime Gloucester invites all to maritime community day! Come see the schooners docked at the pier including the Schooner Ardelle & Schooner Adventure.  Admission is FREE ffrom 10am-3pm. Take a schooner tour or sail, learn about whales, watch Captains Courageous, print with fish and more!

Gloucester Waterfront Festival

Come to Stage Fort Park in Gloucester for the 33rd Annual Waterfront Festival.

Historic Stage Fort Park along Gloucester Harbor will once again blossom into the colorful 33rd Annual Gloucester Waterfront Festival. A collection of over 175 Juried Artists and Craftsmen from throughout the U.S. will display their unique creations, live music, plus delicious ethnic foods. A pancake breakfast and traditional New England Lobster Bake complement this picture perfect seaport event!

Ipswich Foam Frolic

Kids will love the Foam Frolic Fest in Ipswich!

The Ipswich Fire Department teams up with the Ipswich Recreation Department to bring you the Ipswich Foam Frolic! Kids are invited to come for a brief safety talk, and will be able to see the pumper that will create a large foam area for kids to play in! Sneakers or water shoes are required for safety reasons and small children should wear goggles to keep foam out of their eyes. In additional to being sprayed by foam, there will be music and kids of all can paint tiles for the playground project that will be on permanent display at the playground when completed!

Nature Art Classes at Joppa Flats: Summer Series

Nature's beauty is all around us. Let's open our eyes and explore nature as artistic inspiration! Join teachers Jan and Lee for these series, and learn how creativity intersects with science, technique, and construction in a fun and rewarding way. Materials will be provided. Parents are welcome but not required to stay. Each series requires a minimum of four participants. Register individually for these classes, when we'll be enjoying the best of Nature Art. Celebrating it's 50th year in 2015, the Marblehead Festival of Arts has had a rich history in producing an annual summer arts Festival over the July 4th holiday week. This premier Festival hosts art exhibits in Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Printmaking, Photography, Crafts, Plein aire Painting, Senior Art, Student Art and Youth Art. There's also a lot of great events and activities geared toward keeping kids and families engaged and entertained!

Children's Festival in Marblehead

The Children's Festival is just one event of many in the Marblehead Arts Festiva

How wonderful to have kids view the world through a 64-color box of Crayola Crayons instead of an 8-color box, and the Children's Festival is here to help bring out the artist in every child. The Children’s Festival is a unique "hands on" arts-based program of activities directed toward children aged ten years and younger. This year’s theme is “50 Years of Arts and Crafts” as part of Marblehead Festival of Arts.
